“Daring to be more open” – intercultural opening of the state administration and employment of people of foreign origin in the public sector in Saxony was the topic of our last “Business in Dialogue” series.
With Armin Schuster, Saxon State Minister of the Interior, Dr. Stephan Meyer, District Administrator of the district of Görlitz, Dirk Neubauer, District Administrator of the district of Central Saxony, Geert Mackenroth, Saxon Commissioner for Foreigners, Paula Jacob, Integration Management & Onboarding, VAMED Klinik Schloss Pulsnitz and Robert Czajkowski, we discussed the following questions, among others, moderated by our esteemed Alexandra Gerlach and with around 100 participants in the Residenzschloss Dresden:
What conditions are needed for successful integration management? How can public employers be more successful in creating a climate of openness to the world and a welcoming culture? Paula Jacob gave a vivid and impressive account of her success in integrating foreign specialists from Brazil at the VAMED Klinik Schloss Pulsnitz. We hope that Paula Jacob’s exemplary commitment will encourage other employers to follow suit.
We are looking for success stories for a campaign. These could be success stories regarding the recruitment of skilled workers, integration of non-German workers, commitment, cohesion, culture of dialog, intercultural competence and cosmopolitanism.
In the course of this, good stories are sought
We would like to shoot a few commercials, collect examples for a landing page that is being created and thus bring role models for an open-minded entrepreneurial culture to the fore in the long term. Please feel free to contact us!
Thank you to all participants for actively enriching the event and the debate!
