I joined the team in August 2022. I started out as a woman for many things and am now mainly responsible for social media, advertising and everything to do with graphics and photography in the broadest sense. As a democrat and humanist, it is important to me that we do not forget to tolerate the opinions of others in our society. It is also very important to me to demand practical economic and scientific aspects more politically and to create media attention for these topics. My love of association work, previous creative and editorial projects with migrant women and the chance to actively contribute ideas for a project close to my heart brought me to the Wirtschaft für ein Weltoffenes Sachsen association.

Since April of this year, I have been able to strengthen the team as the “woman for the numbers” in the office. Project management activities have their place in an association, just like in a company. It’s a great job with new and exciting challenges for me. As a former entrepreneur who employed people of different nationalities, I know what an asset they are to a company and how good it is to integrate these employees and their skills into the company. For me, cosmopolitanism means seeing new opportunities and breaking new ground by opening up to the new challenges of our time.

Anja Strehle I have been supporting project work in the office since June 2023. As a teenager, I was already exposed to cosmopolitanism, tolerance and diversity – the cornerstones of living democracy and peaceful coexistence – during various trips abroad. These formative experiences of being welcomed and warmly integrated into other cultures strengthened my heartfelt desire to work for a colorful and respectful society in which we learn from each other and develop together in peaceful discourse. The opportunity to realize positive dialogue formats, smart campaigns and sustainable projects for a cosmopolitan Saxony brought me to the association.
