We welcome our new member: the AWO Landesverband Sachsen. The Workers’ Welfare Association is one of the six umbrella organizations of independent welfare work. It was founded on December 13, 1919 as the “Main Committee for Workers’ Welfare” within the SPD.

The Workers’ Welfare Association is a member organization that fights for a socially just society and exerts political influence. The AWO advocates freedom, equality, justice, solidarity and tolerance. It fights for a democratic society in diversity and treats all people with respect.
