Skilled Immigration Act

We welcome every legal amendment and change that facilitates the immigration of international specialists and workers. The associated thematic attention also promotes the opening of companies to the potential of immigrants or internationals already living here.

The adopted law initially brings many small-scale changes for companies and employers. For example, the minimum salaries for the advantageous Blue Card will be downgraded. As a result, more people will be able to use it and, above all, it is likely to be used in more sectors. In future, accumulated professional experience will be more highly valued because the permitted activity will no longer be directly linked to completed academic or vocational training.

The so-called recognition partnerships make companies and employers more responsible for process quality. Recognition procedures and the adaptation training of skilled workers thus become a joint task for employees and employers. Companies need a professional support and monitoring structure for this.

In general, some new structures will have to be created for the implementation of the new FEG and some processes will have to be fundamentally further developed… A task that should not be underestimated with responsibilities that have not yet been clarified! The regulations will come into force at different times over the next year. We will be happy to inform you in due course.
