Interview with members of the association
In the MDR spot on the AFD and its impact on Saxony’s economy, our association member Wilhelm Stein, managing director of Sunmaxx GmbH, Sylvia Pfefferkorn, deputy spokeswoman of the board of Wirtschaft für ein Weltoffenes Sachsen e. V. and Marcel Fratzscher, economist, talk about the party from an entrepreneurial perspective.
“Companies look for talent,” says Wilhelm Stein. “It’s poison if the region has a negative image.” Sylvia Pfefferkorn is of the opinion that the AFD offers no locational advantage for Saxony and other federal states. “They have no solution for SMEs. (…) By 2030, 320,000 jobs will need to be filled. If we do not succeed in attracting people from abroad, we will lose our prosperity as a result.” Marcel Fratzscher comments: “The high approval ratings are dangerous for the economy. (…) A strong economy needs three T’s: Talent, Technology and Tolerance.”
