| On June 1, 2023, the integration fair for migrants took place in Leipzig’s Felsenkeller. Mayor Burkhard Jung opened the exhibition and praised the important work of all those involved in contributing to successful integration. Under the motto “Living diversity”, around 2,000 visitors were able to find out about job and training opportunities, training and further education as well as advice and support options from more than 50 exhibitors. A varied supporting program with workshops and information events on participation, training and applications rounded off the fair. The Immigration Information Center in Leipzig also had a stand at the fair and gave a presentation on immigration, residence and recognition of foreign qualifications in cooperation with the Information and Advice Centre for the Labour Market in Saxony (IBAS). A repeat of the integration fair is planned for next year. |
