On August 30, 2022, the Saxon State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor and Transport presented the action plan for attracting international skilled workers and employees to the Free State of Saxony. We welcome this urgently needed package of measures and are pleased that many of our ideas, particularly from the board of the Skilled Workers’ Alliance, have been incorporated into it.

We are also pleased about the appreciation of the structures we have built up to support both employers and those seeking advice in the areas of recognition and qualification advice within the IQ network. With the financial support from the state for the projects, which have so far been 100% funded by the federal government, we will be even better able to inform SMEs in particular about the opportunities and ways of attracting international workers and to support this process.
