With the International FoodTec Award, the DLG and its partners recognize pioneering developments in terms of innovation, sustainability and efficiency in the field of food technology. An international jury selected the most advanced concepts. We are delighted that our member company watttron won the competition, which takes place every three years. 40 entries from 8 countries were evaluated. The decisive factors were the degree of innovation of the product and its significance for the application in the market. This year, 14 innovation projects from the international food and supplier industry were awarded the prestigious technology prize.

Both machine manufacturers and end users recognize the added value of this groundbreaking technology.” The jury of international experts chose watttron as the gold medal winner because this revolutionary sealing system allows recyclable mono-materials, bio-based or already recycled materials to be processed safely and without any loss of efficiency or quality. This is an important contribution to the expansion of the circular economy. Sustainability combined with efficiency are crucial when it comes to affordable, well-packaged products.
