The Linamar company is undoubtedly emancipated, as it was named after the company founder’s two daughters, Linda and Nancy, as well as his wife Margaret. The first store in Germany was opened exactly 20 years ago.

To celebrate the anniversary, Managing Director Linda Hasenfratz visits Crimmitschau. There is now another branch in Crimmitschau and another in Reinsdorf with employees and trainees. ln the meantime, around 1,500 people work for the company in western Saxony. “This makes us one of the five largest employers in western Saxony,” says AndrĂ© Schmiedel, Plant Manager at Linamar Powertrain.

Linamar stands for flexibility and openness – and this applies to both the company’s portfolio and its dealings with employees.

As in other countries, Linda Hasenfratz is also observing demographic change in western Saxony. She believes it is important to employ people from other countries in German factories. She also emphasized this in a panel discussion with Michael Kretschmer and District Administrator Carsten Michaelis (both CDU).

To ensure rapid integration, Linamar employs teachers who give German lessons to both foreign trainees and employees with a migration background. This ensures that all major car brands can continue to be supplied, even far beyond Germany.

We can only endorse Linamar’s views and congratulate Linamar as one of the fifth largest employers in Western Saxony and this strong woman on her 20th anniversary!
